Hourly Range: $16-$18 an hour

Colonial Gardens, located in Blue Springs, MO, was added to our brand family in 2016. Founded in 1969, renovations began in 2017 to create an agritourism destination. It is the garden center, reimagined! We offer a greenhouse, nursery, café and coffee shop, event space, and farmer’s market. It’s where plants, food and farms connect. Educational classes promoting local agriculture and sustainability as well as private events are also offered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Professionalism – Represent yourself positively as an extension of Colonial Gardens on the jobsite. Stays calm under pressure, always be polite, and show respect to team members and customers
• Time Management – Work with a purpose, accomplish assigned tasks in a timely fashion, and prioritize responsibilities to make sure the job is accomplished efficiently
• Execution – Execute installations in a timely fashion, complete installation jobs that will reflect positively on you, your team, and Colonial Gardens.

Essential Job Duties:

• Deliver and install trees, shrubs, and other merchandise purchased by Colonial Gardens customers
• Work with homeowners to provide satisfaction and success with their installation
• Ensure trucks and trailers are cleaned out and loaded for the next project in an efficient manner
• Observe safety guidelines and protocols

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Landscape Division members are relied upon to work onsite as well as working on projects around the Colonial property
• May also be asked to assist other departments as needed
• May also be asked to travel to other locations to pick up product or supplies

• Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
• Possesses exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Demonstrates outstanding customer service and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with colleagues and clients
• Ability to implement change as needed with a ‘can do’ attitude
• Ability and willingness to expand industry knowledge and skills through classroom or OTJ Training

Minimum Qualifications:

• Required: High School Education
• Required: Valid Driver’s License
• Required: Class E will be required to pull trailers
• Preferred: Horticulture and Landscaping Experience
• Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish & English
